We want every visitor to the Highlands going away feeling they know a little more, be that food, whisky, music or history.
We have 3 specially curated shows here at MacGregors.
The Highland malt Whisky Experience will immerse you in the stories, songs and history of the Highlands, whilst The Highlander Experience has both a shorter 90 minute daytime show, and a 3 hour evening show at our sister venue Bogbain Farm.
The daytime Highlander Experience is the true story of our nation.
Our city centre experience takes place during the day at the award winning MacGregor's Bar on Academy Street.
Your chance to learn why the bagpipes became our national
instrument, why we wear the kilt, and why we love haggis.
A 4 course tasting platter and whisky tasting flight are included.

All narrated by our incredible musicians who will lead you through our history with songs and stories.
Our daytime show introduces you to the true story of how the Kilt, the Bagpipe and Haggis have shaped The Scotland of today.
Our evening show
Our evening show is held at Bogbain farm, a 17th Century farm 7 minutes from the city centre with spectacular views overlooking the Moray Firth.
twice weekly at 6.30pm
2 Course dinner,history, music, piping, Gaelic singing, Highland dancing, waulking the tweed and ceilidh dancing

Highland Malt Whisky Experience
Experience the finest Inverness and the Highlands has to offer in malt whisky, music and story.
The Highland malt whisky experience is held 6 nights a week (Sun/Mon/Tue/Wed/Thu/Fri) at 7pm, from mid April until mid October in MacGregors Bar, Inverness. You will be taken on a journey tasting some of the best malt whisky the Scottish Highlands has to offer, from local distilleries such as Glenmorangie, The Dalmore, Tomatin, The Singleton of Glen Ord, Dalwhinnie and Clynelish, whilst being regaled by your host in the history, story, legend and music of the Scottish Highlands.

Hear the real story of how the kilt, the bagpipe and haggis have shaped today’s Scotland. Discover why our language and culture was suppressed for generations and what has led to today's renaissance. It’s the tale of the Warrior, the Romantic, the Gael, the Philosopher and the Adventurer and how they shaped Scotland and the rest of the world! Their tales are woven amongst the traditional tunes and songs.
